Daniel Lergon METALL
04.09.2009 - 24.10.2009We are pleased to present the third solo exhibition Metall by painter Daniel Lergon (*1978) at the gallery.
The Greek word »metallon« refers to the metals with chemical elements whose properties are based in the fact that the cohesion of the atoms in the molecule takes place after the metallic bond. The most important feature is that the electrons freely move in the lattice.
This exhibition shows seven works on paper each of which used a different metal powder bound in an acrylic binder without any pigment. The metal dusts were applied directly to the paper with clear, colorless finish. Iron, hammer, strikes, bronze, copper and stainless steel were some of the metals used.
