Richard Tuttle

*1941 in Rahway, New Jersey – lives and works in Maine, New Mexico and New York City

Since the 1960s Richard Tuttle’s artistic involvement shows a boundless curiosity and eagerness avoiding any kind of classification. His creative concept is mostly based on the idea of permanent change and innovation as a consequence thereof. Using everyday materials for his fragile, small and subtle paintings as well as sculptural objects and large-size installations, Tuttle achieves poetical compositions.
